Extractions

Removal of Infected or Problematic Teeth (Extractions)

Removal of a tooth or teeth (Extractions) is necessary at times to remove a non-restorable tooth which has or will become infected. Teeth are also recommended for removal due to lack of room in the mouth before orthodontics (braces or invisalign). Wisdom teeth (3rd molars) are probably the most common teeth that people have extracted.  Extractions performed by Dr. Flanigan are done with local anesthesia and, if requested, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or oral sedation (Valium or Xanax).

Our office typically refers patients with all four wisdom teeth or impacted difficult teeth to our excellent Oral Surgeons who have the ability to intravenously sedate patients.
